VERKKO PRESENTED AT EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL FREIGHT TRANSPORT
The Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea participated in the AUTOSUP & CROSSFREIGHT Joint Event, held in Trieste on 1 July 2026, where European projects, transport organisations and logistics stakeholders discussed future developments in digital and automated freight transport.
During the keynote session, the Authority introduced VERKKO, the CEF project supporting the deployment of digital and intelligent transport solutions across the TEN-T network, together with other ongoing European initiatives.
The discussions highlighted the growing importance of interoperability, data sharing and cooperation between ports, infrastructure managers and logistics operators. These topics are closely aligned with VERKKO activities, particularly those related to C-ITS applications and digital solutions for ports and multimodal freight terminals.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences with European technology platforms, port authorities and project coordinators, while identifying new opportunities for collaboration and dissemination of project results across complementary EU initiatives.
