VERKKO WILL HELP TO IMPROVE MOBILITY SERVICES ALONG THE TEN-T CORRIDORS BY STRENGTHENING DIGITAL SERVICES.
VERKKO aims to enhance the performance of transport corridors by expanding the collection, provision, and sharing of multimodal data, along with implementing ITS services. These services will ensure smooth interoperability, continuity, and cost-efficiency in traffic management across integrated corridors. Additionally, measures and services targeting multimodal corridor performance improvement will mitigate losses and negative impacts, aiding intermodal planning and mode selection.
The socio-economic impact of VERKKO on long and medium distance freight transport will include congestion reduction and improved travel time estimation.
VERKKO WILL SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTE TO ESTABLISH ESSENTIAL DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR SAFE, CLEAN, AND EFFICIENT EUROPEAN CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT.
