C-ITS service deployment

This is dedicated to the implementation of up to three use-cases related C-ITS services: Road Works Warning (RWW), Emergency Vehicle Approaching (EVA) and Emergence Vehicle Intervention (EVI). A preliminary study will identify the exact details to optimise implementation and improve traffic safety. The C-ITS services will be implemented in line with the C-Roads Platform specifications, based on the hybrid communication approach.

Initially, a preparation phase will focus on the selection of use cases for implementation on the Danish national road network (primarily motorways). The ultimate goal (beyond the project) is a large-scale permanent deployment of the relevant, key C-ITS services, while the goal for the near future is to deploy the key C-ITS services at the relevant and beneficial level of scale.

For information, Denmark and Germany have initiated a formal cooperation in June 2023, signing an MoU on intended cooperation on topics such as corridor management and exchange of knowledge on e.g., C-ITS services.

KPIs: At least one C-ITS service deployed on the comprehensive motorway network.
