Data sharing platform for Local Traffic Regulations in Gothenburg

This Task is dedicated to the implementation of one data sharing platform (Local Access Point) and to the adaption of workflows and of the supporting IT systems, so to facilitate sharing of Local Traffic Regulations in compliance with the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/670 on RTTI services provision.

The data sharing platform will be the core system for providing static and dynamic data as well as real time traffic signal data. The solution will facilitate the exchange of data between the city of Gothenburg and external stakeholders through the National Access Point (NAP), in line with the ITS Directive 2010/40/EU and revised ITS Directive (EU) 2023/2661.

Within this Task, current workflows and IT systems that support the existing value chain for providing local traffic regulations will be mapped and evaluated. A new IT system architecture will be developed. Necessary adaptations of workflows and IT systems will be implemented. The city will seek cooperation with other European harmonization initiatives such as NAPCORE, C-Roads Platform, and other relevant CEF projects when implementing this task. This Task will make use of and modernise existing physical and digital infrastructure that is already in place . This is thought to be a cost effective and environmentally sound approach that can potentially be used by other cities across Europe. This means that findings from the Gothenburg task can be used in many cities.

No duplication of work or double funding with predecessor projects will occur, since this is a completely new implementation.

KPIs: One Local Access Point to facilitate data sharing of Local Traffic Regulations for the complete road network of the city. Upgrade of existing physical and digital infrastructure.
