Traffic central control room at the Port of Ravenna
This Task is part of a larger digital transformation that has been taking place at the port of Ravenna in the past years, having among its goals the improvement of last-mile rail and road connections in the port area by making them safer and more efficient. This can be best achieved through a thoughtful development and deployment of ITS. In this regard, prior to VERKKO the Port of Ravenna Authority has implemented various projects, among which the CEF project MERIDIAN including the installation of virtual gates at the port area to gather traffic flows data. This Task will be dedicated to creating a central control room connecting the implementations of all the previous projects. This central control room will draw all the available data from security and monitoring systems in place and, therefore, enable to monitor the port area, generate alarms and manage emergencies efficiently, both regarding rail and road traffic flows. The control room will respect the requirements of UNI CEI EN 50518 standards. The budget allocated to this Task will cover the energy sources (UPS and generator set), hardware and software (Physical Security Information Management and Data analytics).
KPIs: Realization of one central control room in the Port of Ravenna.
Type of implementation: Completely new deployment.
